Research Technician

Alexis completed an Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Technology from St. Lawrence College in 2019. In subsequent years, she has obtained the Alberta Registered Veterinary Technologist designation and Registered Laboratory Animal Technician designation with the Canadian Association for Laboratory Animal Science. She joined the Trang lab in late 2023 as a Research Technician. Previously to the Trang Lab, Alexis has gained invaluable hands-on experience as an Animal Care Technician with the University of Calgary’s Animal Resource Centre and as a Research Technician in the Jaideep Bains stress research lab. She is excited to expand her technical skill set with the Trang Lab. Outside of the lab, Alexis enjoys hiking, bouldering and traveling.
